WIN PHROMPHAET, CFA

Win Phromphaet, CFA, is Head of Global and Real Estate Investments at the Social Security Office, Thailand's largest institutional investor with total AUM of US$22 billion. He is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for managing global and real estate investments of the old-age pension fund.

Win holds a BA in Economics (International Program) from Thammasat University in Bangkok and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Netherlands. His MBA study was sponsored by the Royal Thai Government Scholarship. He is a CFA Charterholder and the Treasurer of CFA Society of Thailand.

Win is currently teaching finance courses at Thammasat University as well as the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).

Win teaches Corporate Finance & Portfolio Management and Equity Investments for CFA Level 1 exam at FSA. He was awarded an Outstanding Civil Servant of the Year 2006.

BANCHA SERNGADICHAIVIT, MBA (MIT Sloan), CFA 2005 Level 3 Candidate, FRM

Bancha returned to Thailand from New York City in 2004 after working as an associate at Salomon/Citigroup Global Corporate and Investment Bank. Prior to that he worked at Bangkok Bank, taught at Kaplan and was an associate at Salomon Smith Barney in Singapore. Currently, Bancha heads a team of 14 in marketing (sales, relationship management and product development) as well as investment risk management for institutional clients (provident and private funds worth over US$1 billion) at BBL Asset Management. He had passed the Series 7 and Series 63 certifications from the U.S. NASD.
Bancha obtained his MBA from MIT Sloan with a GPA of 5.0/5.0 and earned his BBA (finance and banking) with First Class Honors from Thammasat University. At Thammasat he founded Thailand’s first undergraduate business competition (www.tubc.org) and is a former director of the faculty’s alumni association. Bancha teaches Financial Reporting and Analysis and Fixed Income for Financial Services Academy and The CFA Society of Thailand.

DR. SUPREEYA NICOLA CLOE PIPATMANOMAI, CFA

Dr. Supreeya graduated with distinction in MSc. (Finance) from Imperial College London in 1999, with a scholarship granted by the Bank of Thailand In June 2002 she completed her CFA Level 3 examination. She is presently the Head of Group Special Asset Management & Global Derivatives Work-out Advisor at Standard Chartered Bank, Thailand.

She also worked as the Finance Director at Jardine Lloyd Thompson Ltd., Thailand where she consulted on financial engineering and restructuring to some of the largest Corporations in Thailand and also the Asia Pacific region. Prior to this, Dr. Supreeya worked at the Bank of Thailand, managing the Kingdom’s foreign reserves first as an Investment Officer and subsequently as a Quantitative Financial Analyst (Bonds & Foreign Exchange) in the Reserve Management Division. Supreeya has also lectured at the Faculty of Commerce & Accountancy (Master in Finance International Program), and Faculty of Economics (B.E. International Program) at Thammasat University. Subjects taught include Fixed Income Securities Investment, Econometrics for Finance, International Financial Markets, Securities Analysis &Derivatives, Financial Institutions Management, International Corporate Finance and Financial Investment. She is also a frequent Guest Lecturer at Bangkok University’s Executive MBA program and faculty of corporate finance and investment at Webster university MBA program in Bangkok.


ANDREW STOTZ, Completed CFA Level 3 (2001)


Andrew has been a pioneer in the Thai financial industry and is currently a Market Strategist for Kim Eng (Thailand). He has lived in Thailand since 1992 and has been a stock market analyst since 1993.

He was voted Number One analyst in Thailand in the Asiamoney Brokers Poll 2008 and 2009 and also Number One analyst in Thailand in the 2009 Institutional Investor Magazine All-Asia Research Team Report. Before joining Kim Eng, Andrew was the Head of Research at CLSA Thailand. He is currently vice president of the CFA Society of Thailand and is a lecturer in finance at the undergraduate level at Thammasat University and Chulalongkorn University and at the Masters level at ABAC University. He also teaches Ethics for Financial Services Academy and The CFA Society of Thailand. Finally, Andrew is a founding partner in CoffeeWORKS Co. Ltd., Thailand’s leading specialty coffee roaster.


CHAYAWADEE CHAI-ANANT

Chayawadee currently holds a position as senior economist with the Bank of Thailand’s Monetary Policy Strategy Team, in charge of policy recommendations for the central bank’s interest rate decisions and exchange rate management. She also has extensive experience overseeing Thailand’s balance of payments analysis, as well as the macroeconmic surveillance of the Kingdom’s economy in her prior roles in the Bank’s Monetary Policy Group.

She spent time as a Senior Research Fellow at the Bank for International Settlements Office in Hong Kong and has published numerous research and policy papers, and has wide-ranging teaching experience as a university lecturer at Thammasat and Walailuk Universities.

Chayawadee holds a PhD. in Economics from the University of Michigan, where she was presented with a University of Michigan Robert Roosa Fellowship, and was awarded as University-level Outstanding Graduate Instructor. Prior to that, she graduated with and M.A.E, Applied Economics from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Economics from Chulalongkorn University with First Class Honors (Gold Medal).


SWEE MENG MOK, CFA, CAIA, FRM, PRM

Swee Meng is a private fund manager at AIRA Securities after heading the research department for more than a year. Prior to joining AIRA, he worked as a financial advisor at Dharmniti Capital specializing in M&A, Fund Raising, Distressed Debts and Financial Risk Assessment. He used to be a derivative dealer in Singapore.

He received his Master degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor degree in Economics and Finance from Northern Territory University (Australia). He earned the right to use the designations of Financial Risk Management (FRM), Professional Risk Management (PRM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) in 2001, 2002, 2006 and 2007 respectively.
